Facebook for iOS adds verified check marks for celebrities and brands
Facebook updated its iOS app on Wednesday, incorporating the verified check mark feature that it previously rolled out for web in May.
Facebook initially launched Verified Pages on the web for celebrities, high-profile people and businesses. A small, bluecheck mark appears on profiles to indicate that Facebook has verified them as authentic. The check mark – which looks practically identical to Twitter’s verified badge – is visible beside profile names on timelines, in search results and elsewhere on the social network.
